I have never really studied art academically (past the first two years of high school), but I have been involved with art since I can remember (drawing, painting, breaking toys apart and putting them back together to make different toys, etc). This is partly due to the fact that my grandfather Jovan Popovic was one of the most well known and respected fine artists in Serbia. While I was growing up in Serbia, I would often spend afternoons with my grandfather, either at my grandparents apartment or at my grandfathers art studio, keeping myself busy drawing pictures and absorbing my grandfathers thoughtful guidance and critique. This allowed my creativity to flourish tremendously in my youth, and has created a force of creativity that has grown inside of me over the years.
Since 2013 I have been taking evening drawing classes at the local art collage and life drawing club here in Dundee, Scotland. I have included selected life drawing pictures under the life drawing section of this part of my website. I mostly work in pencil, charcoal, pen, pastels and acrylic paint. I will continue adding new life drawing works for every new year in the foreseeable future. This is mostly to record my progress as an artist.
I also have a keen interest in graphics design, working mostly with computer software packages such as Adobe Photoshop, Inkscape, Illustrator (with the exception of a few 3D images I rendered using LightWave 3D). I have posted selected examples of my graphics design work under the graphics design section. I update the graphics design section with new work every now and then, when I feel inspired.
